Event 2023:
Jesse Tree of Idaho

On June 21st, 2023, Music for a Cause supported Jesse Tree Idaho and featured Brotherflower, a collective of incredible multi-instrumentalists from New York City, who have performed and recorded with artists such as Conway Twitty, The Doobie Brothers, The Judds, and more. We chose to support Jesse Tree in 2023 not only because of the impact of their work of preventing homelessness but because they faced a dire funding shortfall due to the end of COVID relief programs. We were able to share the tireless work Jesse Tree has done, and is still doing for Idaho. All proceeds went directly to Jesse Tree to fund eviction prevention programs.

It’s incredible what a group of community-minded people can do when brought together by music.
What is Jesse Tree
- Need Help with Rental Assistance?
- Are you a landlord or agency that knows a tenant who needs help?
Jesse Tree provide support to our neighbors at risk of eviction when they need it the most, to keep them in their homes. Having a safe and stable home to live in is more important now than ever before. Help us prevent the traumatic, life-altering experience of eviction and homelessness from happening to our neighbors.

Event 2022:
Idaho Office of Refugees

Our First Event
Music for a Cause made its debut in May 2022 to benefit the Idaho Office of Refugees (IOR). Joined by musicians from New York City, we danced under the stars to groovy sets and enjoyed equally eclectic food from local vendors. Together we were able to raise over $100,000 for IOR. If you were part of our first annual event, we’d like to wholeheartedly thank you again for your support. (You can check out our news coverage here.)
Creating Welcoming Communities That Thrive Together
The IOR is the designated organization to oversee refugee resettlement in the state of Idaho. They create connections and offer programs that promote well-being for New Americans and surrounding communities. The Idaho Office for Refugees supports our nation’s founding belief of offering refuge and safety to people forced to leave their homes due to persecution of their religious beliefs, political opinions, or ethnic heritage. They create opportunities for refugees and the larger community to come together over their shared values of hard work, family, faith, and freedom, through English Language education, cultural events, and programs like Global Gardens and the Refugee Speakers Bureau.
